Mr. Ray’s professional efforts concentrate on creating coalitions of similar interests to address contentious legislative issues. The issues Mr. Ray has navigated include proposed tax increases to stopping restrictive environmental legislation. His development of effective coalitions have included farmers, manufactures, food processors, unions, medical groups and even environmentalists.
Mr. Ray is active in his community by providing leadership for the Kinship Care Project. This organization raises money for Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles that find themselves raising grandchildren, nieces and nephews usually because of parents suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. This problem is sweeping the state and creating hardship for people who did not expect to be raising children at such a late stage in their lives. This project provides a little extra help financial assistance around the holidays as well as offering social and support services year around.
Mr. Ray has a BA in Political Science and a Masters in Environmental Science. |
